An argument can be made that a large capacity .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun is one of the best pistols to use for home defense, because the .45 ACP is more powerful than the 9mm. The problem is that most .45 caliber pistols offer less round count than their 9mm counterparts, but this is not true for the Glock 21.
