Smith & Wesson Model 29 (5/20)

List item

The fictional cop, Dirty Harry described the .44 Magnum perfectly. “Did he fire six shots or only five?” Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?” Well, do ya, punk? At that time the Model 29 was the most powerful handgun in mass production. After that 70’s movie, the Model 29 was tough to come by and many buyers were paying up to 3 times the retail price just to carry this legend.

The .44 Magnum’s roots came from the .44 Special and the loaders who were experimenting with heavier rounds and greater chamber pressures. The .44 Magnum revolver and semi-auto are still considered exceptional performers by firearms aficionados and experts.
