The other king of racing games on the N64, Diddy Kong Racing was all about variety. In addition to racing with standard karts, some races required the use of planes and hovercrafts. Instead of being structured with circuits and cup races like Mario Kart 64, this racing game played out over a fun adventure through interesting worlds.

This is another N64 classic developed by Rare, and it’s oozing with the studio’s distinct charm. It’s also a great game for some multiplayer races, with plenty of power-ups to blast at your friends. The mixture of vehicles types is just one of the reasons this game makes the cut.
